Chemodectoma in relation to the aortic arch (aortic body tumour). A clinical report.

چکیده
Le Compte (1951) points out that the actual anatomical location of the aortic body is not wel defined in man. Four localities have been described by Boyd (1937): 1. Between the ductus arteriosus and the descending arch of the aorta; 2. On the right side and upper surface of the pu!monary artery; 3. Lateral to the innominate artery root; 4. To the left side of the antero-lateral aspect of the aortic arch.

Stridor in a Newborn with Double Aortic Arch-A Case Report
Introduction: Double aortic arch (DAA) is a congenital anomaly of the aortic arch. It is the most common type of complete vascular ring. When it occurs, the connected segment of the aortic arch and its branches encircle the trachea and esophagus, leading to symptoms related to these two structures. Case Report: We present a case of a newborn baby who developed biphasic stridor immediately after...
متن کاملA Retroesophageal Right Subclavian Artery as the Last Branch of the Aortic Arch- In Vivo Case Report
Three major arteries normally originate from the aortic arch. Variations of the aortic arch branches are observed in some cases. Rare variation of the aortic arch branches is originated from the retroesophageal right subclavian (RRS) artery as the last branch of the aortic arch. Variation of artery is possibly associated with the variation of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. This research p...
متن کاملIntrathoracic chemodectoma with multiple localisations.
In 1958 a mediastinal tumour was discovered in an asymptomatic woman with a history of vomiting and an oesophageal anomaly which had not been treated. A tumour of the anterosuperior mediastinum in relation to the aortic arch was extirpated and proved to be a chemodectoma or non-chromaffin paraganglioma. At subsequent follow-ups the mediastinum was never normal and the heart size progressively i...
متن کاملAbnormal bisubclavian trunk arising from the aortic arch determined by cadaver dissection of a native dog: A case report
Congenital anomalies of the great thoracic vessels have been reported in 20% of dogs and cats. In some cases, the vascular ring anomalies remain unrecognized throughout the lifetime of an animal. This report describes a case with an unusual vascular ring anomaly (VRA) that was detected during dissection on a cadaver of an approximately two-year-old male native mixed breed dog. No history of the...
متن کاملA Case Report of Variant Origin of Left Vertebral Artery from Aortic Arch and its Embryological Explanation
Vertebral artery is the first branch of subclavian artery. It merges with the same artery of the opposite side to form basilar artery and becomes one of the important source of blood supply to the brain. Variation in the origin of left vertebral artery was found in 65 year old female during magnetic resonance angiography of the neck vessels. It originated from aortic arch and was longer as ...
